Le Caprice Baroque (France) is an ensemble composed of young professionnels who wants to share Renaissance and Baroque music knowledge with a large audience by performing concerts under differents themes : Baroque Italy, Musique at Shakespeare's time, Songs and Dances at the Renaissance... They have a mutual passion for early music and instruments, and perform concerts in many churches in Paris and abroad, in festivals, school presentations and private concerts. They created this group in 2001 to play together, and regularly invite new musicians to diversify their repertoire and style.
The musicians of the ensemble studied in France and abroad (Paris, Varsovia, Brussels...), with several early music teachers, such as Jan de Winne, Christophe Coin, Barthold Kuijken...
Le Caprice Baroque was in August 2005 one of the IYAP finalists (International Young Artists Presentation) in Antwerpen, Belgium. The ensemble was supported by the French Ministry for Foreign Affairs.
